The Group Leader – Production is a working lead who supports production activities and the leadership team by providing training, guidance and assistance within the group to which they are assigned. Group Leaders help ensure efficiency, quality and productivity through production support, technical expertise and facilitation of on the job training.

This position will support production by performing daily tests on battery materials. In this position, you must be proficient in working with advanced analytical equipment and possess a well demonstrated record of safe laboratory practices. You will also support equipment in terms of repairs and diagnostics, so a successful candidate will possess good mechanical aptitude, as well as an acceptable knowledge of electronics and electric circuits.

As a Sr. Technical Project Engineer with EaglePicher Technologies you will join our Research and Development team as a key leader in hands on design, prototyping and commercialization of Lithium-Ion cells and battery power systems used for lasers, aircraft, satellites, and more. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the product development process and will be able to lead and conduct development and implementation of new technologies and products with a strong foundation in the electrochemical cell development and manufacturing scale-up.  This position will coordinate multiple functions to deliver these products to a wide variety of commercial and military customers such NASA, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing General Electric and many others. This position requires interaction with internal and external customers at all levels of system design/development, components, quality engineering. Sr. Product Engineer is responsible for engineering project leadership related to a wide range of project types including custom battery assemblies that contain Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery cells, electronics circuits, electrical connections and mechanical/thermal structures.  This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Serve as an Electronics Engineer, responsible for designing and maintaining the technical quality of electronic systems in our Aerospace and Defense products. Design AC and DC power systems hardware and controls suitable for a variety of environments including defense and space; modify, troubleshoot, validate and maintain hardware as required; and work in team arrangement as a Project Engineer. Ideal candidate will have experience in designing power conversion circuits (AC/DC, DC/DC, AC/AC), precision voltage/current measurement circuits and analog/digital conversion, and analog and digital feedback and control; designing for system efficiency (weight, size, cost, and loss), manufacturing efficiency, and reliability in high vibration and corrosive environments; software development using C and C++ language; use of schematic capture, printed circuit layout and design simulation tools.

The candidate will work with Battery Engineering Teams to perform a diverse mix of hardware, firmware and software tasks related to the design, development, test, qualification and production support of electronic assemblies used to manage the charge and discharge of Lithium-Ion Batteries.  This is an exciting, full task spectrum, A to Z, opportunity, that will enable the individual contributor to exercise their proficiency in all aspects of delivering electronic control systems for battery assemblies used in various Military, Aerospace and commercial applications.  Travel is anticipated at 10% to 15% and includes the ability to attend and present at relevant technical conferences.

Material Scientist position will support R&D activities related to battery material development, including new materials and associated process development, materials performance and characterization testing, and failure analysis.  Associated structural development utilizing new materials in cell anode, electrolyte, cathode, and pyrotechnic components.  Strong metallurgical background preferred with emphasis in inorganic chemistry, metals and metallic alloys, powder processing, and process development.  This role will include both fundamental and hands-on laboratory activities for multiple chemistries and projects in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials utilized.

IT Support Analyst responsibilities include providing Help Desk support.  In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to understand business needs. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential. If you also have hands-on experience with technical projects, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to leverage tech solutions to meet organizational needs.

The Mechanical Engineer Intern will collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and qualify cells and battery packs according to customer specifications and documentation requirements in line with project timing and budgets.   The Mechanical Engineer Intern will work closely with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering teams to execute and deliver existing and new products.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern with EaglePicher Technologies you will join our Research and Development team as a key contributor in hands on design and testing of Lithium-Ion battery power systems used for lasers, aircraft, satellites, and more. You will perform a diverse mix of design, development, test, qualification and production support of electronic assemblies used to manage the charge and discharge of Lithium-Ion Batteries. You will work with industry leaders within the company as well as at our customers who include NASA, JPL, BAE, Lockheed Martin, NOAA, Lawrence Livermore Labs, and Fortune 500 companies around the world. EaglePicher Technologies (EPT) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Research and Development team in EPT’s Yardney Division R&D facility in East Greenwich, RI, to support development of R&D battery systems for Defense, Aerospace and Commercial applications. The position will collaborate across all disciplines of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to gain full understanding of product architecture and design. This position will coordinate multiple functions to deliver these products to a wide variety of commercial and military customers such NASA, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Electric and many others. The Systems Engineer will interface with all disciplines of the IPT including Scientists, Engineers, and Management, to develop, define, and implement customer requirements for cells and battery packs used for lasers, aircraft, satellites, and more. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing functional analysis, derivation, and allocation of high-level requirements to lower-level system/sub-system elements, preparing and presenting reports and metrics of area progress, accomplishments, and open items. You will be planning, organizing, and estimating efforts for System Integration & Test (SI&T) tasks, with the possibility of writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) of the overall work scope in support of Requests For Proposal (RFP). The role will support the entire project lifecycle, including development, prototyping, integration, verification, and delivery. In addition, the position will contribute to development of the Systems Engineering (SE) process for baseline control of systems engineering work product.

The Plating Laboratory Technician will perform wet chemistry titrations to maintain bath compositions, as well as apply best industry practices to help maintain the hygiene of the plating tanks and associated water. The Plating Laboratory Technician will also work closely with Plating Engineers, Platers, and the Plating Manager to enact continuous improvement and optimization projects.  This is a second shift position.

Perform maintenance duties including but not limited to installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and replacement of equipment and facilities.  Skilled in key areas of HVAC, Electrical, Welding & Sheet metal, and plumbing of air and hydraulics.  Skilled in basic carpentry such as doors, windows, sheetrock, etc.  Regularly repair and maintain various production tools using lathes, CNC, bridge-ports, grinders, etc.  Operate various heavy equipment appropriate for the job at hand.  Perform other duties whenever conducive to efficient plant operations. Report to Mechanical Group Leader unless assigned otherwise by the Maintenance Supervisor in supporting maintenance needs for maintaining operational effectiveness.

We are hiring for first and second shifts.

The Mechanical Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing analysis and documentation of cell and battery packs according to customer specifications and documentation requirements in line with project timing and budgets.   The Mechanical Analysis Engineer will work closely with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering teams to execute and deliver existing and new products.

As an intern, you will assit with and act as the business advisor for business, regulatory and legal issues by providing day-to-day guidance and support to the internal team regarding the meaning, applicability and implications of contract terms and compliance to company policy throughout the proposal and contract performance processes.
