The Product Engineer Technician's functions are to closely work with the battery production line and provide engineering support for the technical needs of the program. They will work with the Product Engineer to provide assistance with everything from document creation to identifying and procuring for the product.
The Group Leader – Production is a working lead who supports production activities and the leadership team by providing training, guidance and assistance within the group to which they are assigned. Group Leaders help ensure efficiency, quality and productivity through production support, technical expertise and facilitation of on the job training.
This position will support production by performing daily tests on battery materials. In this position, you must be proficient in working with advanced analytical equipment and possess a well demonstrated record of safe laboratory practices. You will also support equipment in terms of repairs and diagnostics, so a successful candidate will possess good mechanical aptitude, as well as an acceptable knowledge of electronics and electric circuits.
As a Sr. Technical Project Engineer with EaglePicher Technologies you will join our Research and Development team as a key leader in hands on design, prototyping and commercialization of Lithium-Ion cells and battery power systems used for lasers, aircraft, satellites, and more. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the product development process and will be able to lead and conduct development and implementation of new technologies and products with a strong foundation in the electrochemical cell development and manufacturing scale-up. This position will coordinate multiple functions to deliver these products to a wide variety of commercial and military customers such NASA, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing General Electric and many others. This position requires interaction with internal and external customers at all levels of system design/development, components, quality engineering. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and qualify cells and battery packs according to customer specifications and documentation requirements in line with project timing and budgets. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering teams to execute and deliver existing and new products.
Sr. Product Engineer is responsible for engineering project leadership related to a wide range of project types including custom battery assemblies that contain Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery cells, electronics circuits, electrical connections and mechanical/thermal structures. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
This role will be as a Product Engineer for the Product Engineering group. Ongoing responsibilities include generate and maintain technical data packages for multiple projects (include Mechanical/Design/Process); provide technical customer interface for projects; provide technical experience in support of solving manufacturing problems; development of tooling, fixtures and battery assembly process. Provide proposal support and serve as technical lead on projects.
Serve as an Electronics Engineer, responsible for designing and maintaining the technical quality of electronic systems in our Aerospace and Defense products. Design AC and DC power systems hardware and controls suitable for a variety of environments including defense and space; modify, troubleshoot, validate and maintain hardware as required; and work in team arrangement as a Project Engineer. Ideal candidate will have experience in designing power conversion circuits (AC/DC, DC/DC, AC/AC), precision voltage/current measurement circuits and analog/digital conversion, and analog and digital feedback and control; designing for system efficiency (weight, size, cost, and loss), manufacturing efficiency, and reliability in high vibration and corrosive environments; software development using C and C++ language; use of schematic capture, printed circuit layout and design simulation tools.
The candidate will work with Battery Engineering Teams to perform a diverse mix of hardware, firmware and software tasks related to the design, development, test, qualification and production support of electronic assemblies used to manage the charge and discharge of Lithium-Ion Batteries.
