ABOUT THE POSITION

The Tool Room Technician reports directly to the Production Supervisor. They are responsible to Inspect, repair and procure replacement tooling for the production operation. They perform First Article Inspection on all new production tooling. They enter and maintain all tool records in the tool control program. Organize tools and equipment on shelves and racks for easy access.  Issue tooling to the production area and ensure return of issued tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, Statistics, data management)
  • ERP system proficiency (multiple data creation functions and inputs)
  • Inventory Record Accuracy
  • Inventory Record Management
  • Inventory Level Management (min / max quantities)
  • Purchase Order (obtain quotes, submit requisitions)
  • Advanced Blueprint Interpretation and Application (GD&T proficiency)
  • Advanced Inspection proficiency (multiple inspection devices, First Article Inspections, documentation)
  • Effective knowledge and deployment of Lean methodology
  • Preventive Maintenance (schedule and perform)
  • Conduct effective cross-functional problem resolution meetings
  • Exceptional multi-level communication
  • Multiple Functional Areas Liaison
  • Advanced Inventory Organization (internal and external of the Crib)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. Persons
