ABOUT THE POSITION

The Quality Specialist position will support Quality functions in all areas of Quality represented by EaglePicher for AS9100 and ISO 9001. Position will work with minimal supervision and within company policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include: assist in preparation and review of documentation related to receiving inspection; in process inspections for assembly of hardware and testing processes; accurately review Quality related data for Operations to verify compliance to specifications; resolve problems or non-compliances and provide accurate documentation of problem resolutions to supervisors of Quality, Engineering and Operations; support onsite customer activities; interface with Operations for metrics related to First-time Quality; lead root cause and corrective action activities for problem resolution of non-compliances. The Quality Specialist should have working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards for quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineering (R&D and MFG) to evaluate design requirements and ensure that all production build and inspection documentation comply with Customer/Government quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Review Customer Proposals to ensure that EPT’s Quality System can meet all imposed Quality Requirements and review all new Purchase Orders to ensure no changes and/or new requirements were added.
  • Highlight requirements for Program Management that may be outside the normal scope of business or have cost impact.
  • Work directly with customers to ensure Product Acceptance Data Packages are complete and meet all requirements.
  • Evaluate product build fixtures, test equipment, programming, tooling, packaging and other associated equipment used in the production process to ensure results meet specified requirements.
  • Review test data results to verify product meets requirements and work with MFG Engineering to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist the team to establish root cause and develop corrective actions that comply with customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent with applicable experience will be considered Supervisory experience desired
  • Professional certification or coursework a plus
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or First-time Quality
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of inspection processes, statistical methods, filing and data entry
  • Detail oriented to accurately review data and document problem resolutions
  • Must not be color blind.
