ABOUT THE POSITION

The Engineer Technician will work as part of the Product Engineering Team.  Ongoing responsibilities include ECR support, MRB support and technical interface for projects as well as providing technical experience in support of solving production engineering problems.  This position will support the Product Engineering group by performing multiple technical tasks that will lead to on-time delivery of safe and quality products to our customers.  

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of the position are:

  • Perform testing and next step processing of parts in MRB
  • Monitor and maintain stored data tracking sheets
  • Perform review of drawings and documents from ECR system as a second reviewer / signeer 
  • Assist with the first time build of new parts as they transition from product development
  • Perform engineering tests / experiments to aid in problem resolution
  • Collect, organize and interpret test data
  • Assist the Product Engineer with documents, tooling requests and ideas, and general production support
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline preferred
  • Experience in a technical role, supporting internal customers
  • Excellent computer skills in Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in data measurement, analysis and report authoring using sound statistical analysis methods
  • Good communication skills in cross-functional team environment
  • Able to multi-task managing multiple different priority tasks
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency required per government contracts

Hiring Preferences:

 

  • Experience with Inventor and/or SolidWorks
  • AutoCAD or drafting knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with GMP, ISO and AS-9100 quality system methods is a plus
  • Defense industry experience preferred
